2016 Activities
We are excited to announce there will be a mass dance in conjunction with One Billion Rising for all women attending. We invite you all to join us in this powerful moment together.
One Billion Rising - Mass Dance Rehearsals with Jennifer Moss  at Te Manawa Museum
              Tuesday 16th Feb at 11am     Thurs March 3rd at 11am and 12.15      Sun 6th March at 1pm

On International Women's day we invite contributions for a collaborative Big Book, where women can leave a record of their experiences, thoughts, recipes, wishes.
Paper will be provided, or things can be prepared in advance and bought along to add to it. This will be a record/snapshot of women in the region and may be displayed within the community after Women's day.

BIG GIRL workshops  for the 2016 Parade     Will take place from Feb 29th from 10am at Te Manawa Museum, Palmerston North
We will be working with newly arrived Afghani women to create their representative, and will also be making a spunky punky gal of euro descent with locals. These will join the 7 other Big Girls that have been created in past years with our diverse community, with representatives from Asia, Africa, Latin America, Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Past creators are welcomed back to 'revisit/rejig' their Big Girls if they wish.
We will be situated in the Wilkins Gallery Space, Te Manawa Museum, Palmerston North.
You are welcome to join us between 10am and 4pm Tuesday through Thursday March 1st, 2nd and 3rd to help make, or view the process.
We thank Te Manawa Museum for their donation of a space large enough to make Giant Puppets
and PNCC/ Creative Communites Scheme for the funding to make it all happen.
